Meet The Team

Ben Letto

Ben Letto knows the printing business inside and out. His career has brought him from scrubbing darkroom sinks to making plates, perfecting artwork to selling printing services that his family can be proud of. One thing is certain: he is a dedicated leader with real hands on experience that his staff respects.

Ben grew up in Chicago, watching his parents work hard in factory jobs in the city. Only a few months after his high school graduation, Ben left his loving family to begin his training in the Navy. Now, Ben can look back at those 6 years in the Navy as ones that matured him and gave him focus. “I came back a better man because of the Navy,” Ben recalls. “I was more focused and ready to start my life than the other neighborhood kids.”

And so beginning his life post-service is what Ben did. He married and began looking for work. Ben certainly wasn’t afraid of hard work; he was raised with hardworking parent role models and the Navy further impressed the importance of dedication. Within months of returning from the Navy, Ben began work in a local print shop.

He started at the bottom, scrubbing sinks and mixing chemicals, and you can hear that Ben is proud of that humble start. It taught him the basics of printing and as he continued to work and learn, he received more responsibilities. Soon he was making plates, working with layouts and artwork. By the time Ben and his brother started their own company, Paulson Press, Ben knew every step in the printing process – and he could do them all too.

Now, Ben continues to love his job. His passion for printing, customer relationships, and mentoring staff shows off in everything he does. Ben knows that the bedrock of his success is his staff, and leads by example to gain the respect of his team every day.

From humble beginnings, Ben has taken Paulson Press to become one of the premier printing companies in the Chicagoland area. While he can take much of the credit for that success, he often gives credit to his parents and to his current team. That’s the kind of guy he is.

Paul Letto

Paul Letto knew that printing was in his future long before he started working in the office at Paulson Press. Printing was, after all, in his blood. Paulson Press recognizes the importance of family, but Paul knows that much more went into his printing career than just his name. He knows the entire business, and has worked his way up from the bindery department.

Paul spent his summers cutting his teeth on the printing process in the bindery room. He earned extra cash binding and cutting projects, and by the time graduation came, Paul transitioned into fulltime work in the family business. Since his time at Paulson Press, Paul has worked nearly every side of the business, including plate making, customer service, and production.

Customers of Paulson Press have the privilege of working with Paul as one of their main contacts. He earns customer trust quickly, giving them a quality experience and an even better final product. Paul is equally as respected by the production staff. He is able to give directives and guidance to our team members, as he has been there, worked the equipment, and knows how to get the job done well.

When he isn’t leading production and building relationships with our customers, you can likely find Paul spending time in his favorite role – Dad. His three teens keep him busy between hockey games and tennis matches, but he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Our customers are lucky to have Paul on their side as he works to give them the best product possible.

Tony Letto

Tony Letto knows that his role goes beyond simply selling a product to customers. Instead, Tony proudly stands behind the work and experience that Paulson Press provides to clients, and comes alongside clients to introduce them to the possibilities with Paulson.

Tony offers a unique perspective to the printing process, as he started hands on in the production side of things during the summers of high school. Tony knew that he truly loved printing and the process from his teenage years and committed to learning as much as he could, as quickly as he could. After high school, Tony found his passion working with film, making plates and making proofs for customers. He excelled working with the pre-printing process, though noticed that a change was coming as computers started leading the way in the industry. Film and camera work were soon archaic, replaced with PDFs and JPG files.

Tony saw the technology shift as the opportunity to jump into sales. After all, he knew what a great product Paulson Press could provide; he had been a part of making customers happy and knew he could make more customers successful as well. For the past twenty years, Tony has sold Paulson Press services to clients new and old. He loves the challenge that comes with sales, uncovering client goals and finding ways to use print to achieve them.

Tony values relationships in the office and outside of it. He loves that his business allows him to see his family daily in the office. A true family guy, Tony is most at home being a husband and Dad, traveling with his family and sitting in the stands cheering on his kids at their sports games.

Some of Tony’s customers have been with Paulson for more than twenty years, and that isn’t by accident; Tony works hard to maintain and nurture those relationships and looks forward to making new ones as well.
